“I’ve always been Jabba!”
After a challenging year personally, Jabulani Tsambo has decided to go back to his roots in 2016. The hip-hop legend has been in the business for over 16 years known as Hip Hop Pantsula or HHP but a change of heart and a new chapter in life has seen him keen to be true to himself and be known simply as “Jabba”. The year is off to a flying start for Jabba with Pasopa trending across social media, which has become a passion project highlighting the recent #FeesMustFall movement. (Pasopa is a music video). After the summer success of Pop Mabhodlela, Jabba is also planning to take on the radio airwaves with his new release titled Intozam that features up and comers Priddy Ugly, Prince Mpheme, BFB, V_Eye, Blasto and Big Star Johnson. The turn-up style hip-hop track showcases the classic hooks Jabba has become synonymous with and also provides room for the young up-and-comers to show their flow.
The song is part of an exclusive mixtape titled Licious Lioness Presents: Various Artists. While Jabba quit Twitter in 2015, he has now taken to instragram to share his life with the world and you can follow him @just_jabba.
